Dale Kornegay
President and CEO

Born in Victoria, TX and raised in Bellaire, TX, Dale is a graduate of Bellaire High School. He attended Texas A&M University receiving his degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Construction Management in 1981. He also has continuing education in Advance Boring and Tunneling Techniques, Trench Safety, Confined Space and Claims Resolution.
Dale began his career at BorTunCo as a boring machine operator in his collegiate summers. After graduation, Dale hired on full time as Division Manager of BorTunCo. In 1983, he left to serve as Vice President and Estimator for G. R. Crawford Construction, Co. where he specialized in waterline installations. Then in 1990, he joined S.J. Brown & Co. as Vice President and Chief Estimator where his responsibilities included scheduling personnel and equipment and negotiating subcontracts. Eventually Dale returned to BorTunCo in 1992. Dale has served in almost every operational capacity during his term including Estimator, Project Manager, Chief Engineer, and Vice President of Operations.
In 1995 Dale was elected to the office of President, and then in 2000 he became the CEO of the corporation.
