Ring Beam Shaft

Ring Beam Shafts are used to shore large, deep vertical excavations. The ribs provide the structural support necessary to stabilize the excavation, and lagging is placed between the ribs to hold the surrounding soil in place. Once a rib is installed, it is expanded in place. This expansion compacts the material outside of the excavation eliminating the need for grouting.
