Wood Box Tunneling

Wood Box is a form of primary tunnel liner used in soft ground. A Wood Box is formed by building rectangular sets inside of a tunnel. Additional rings are added at the tunnel heading as it progresses. One of the benefits of this tunnel liner is its adaptability during construction. Wood Box Tunneling is often preferred in downtown metropolitan areas where conflicts with existing underground obstructions are anticipated.
